Padlet's features

 Padlet is a free online application, user friendly multimedia wall which can be used to encourage real-time, whole class participation and assessment. It features a virtual wall where multiple users can post comments and media. 

Padlet enables whole class engagement as well as small group engagement and is a useful tool for fostering student centered active learning based on collaboration and peer learning.

 Padlet is a very simple tool that does not require participants to create accounts in order to use it, and doesn’t require special technical know-how.  

Features include having many layouts for discussion, blogging ,  calendar and so forth. Users can upload a file or an image from your desktop. Users can post at the same time and comment on one another. This feature supports and maintains collaboration by having all contributors post at the same time and share their ideas and thoughts on the topic.

 The Owner/ teacher can choose to get notified if other contributors were working on it.Owners/ Teachers can have their students participate and contribute with their posts anonymously. This allows more freedom and experimentation to the learning process.

Once a user dds a post , he/she  can leave the page and go back to it, adding or editing if needed. Content remains indefinitely on the walls of Paldet. 

I like this tool mainly because it  is an easy handling online tool that immerses the students’ overall knowledge and nurtures their interest in sharing ideas. Padlet enhances students'  critical thinking and ability to reach to conclusions and achieve expected learning outcomes .

I highly recommend using this tool ,especially if you arent a high tech person like me :)

  The conservative nature of the educational system , what keeps us from making remarkable change ? I really liked the chapter written mainly by  Salomon ( 2016) , where he discussed why technology didnt really make deep changes into the educational system .  Three factors according to him were main contributors, the First one,  The tendency of the educational system to preserve itself.
